Jaycee Dugard - Trust Fund and Response to shameless article

JAYCEE DUGARD TRUST FUND: http://www.viewtechfinancialservices.com/jaycee.htm

Recently an article was posted by Sports Columnist Michael Whicker, which outlined all the sports-related things that Jaycee Dugard missed while held captive for 18 years.

As much as I despise directing any more attention to this Asshole, you should take a look to see a great example of insensitive and irresponsible journalism. It is an example of how the media cares not about the people, but about their own popularity.

The article is here: http://www.ocregister.com/articles/world-won-most-2555260-never-one

Lets take a look at the situation here. A women has been living a life of captivity, held by a psychopath who made her bear his children, and has had her mind literally taken from her. None of us can possibly imagine the pain and tragedy of this situation, and the pure shock, relief, and emotion her family is currently suffering.

A journalist took this horrible event, and contemplated how he could use it to his advantage. He proceeded to write an article that was shallow, insensitive, and contained humor that was inappropriate. After receiving an abundance of harsh feedback, he has transformed himself into a regular household name. Now he is riding on that success and milking it for all it's worth. In the world of media and public eye, negative attention is always good attention, and one can make a career from one well-played incident.

What this man should be doing, if he was truly remorseful, is promoting ways to help Jaycee Dugard. Rather than exploiting her situation and using it to jump start his career, he could be using his popularity and role in the media to bring help and success to the family.

Oprah is attempting to land the first interview with Jaycee. Although Oprah is an amazing media figure and journalist, she too has a deeper agenda to her actions.

Jaycee and her family are in need of financial help. At the beginning and end of this Blog are links to her official Trust Fund web site. Any amount of $$ would help the family. Please donate to this cause.

I want to see Jaycee overcome this ordeal and be an example to women everywhere. If she can rise above this, create her own life, and gain success and positivity from this tragic event, then she would be an inspiration to millions. She deserves a magical second act of this Drama we call life, and we can help make that happen by donating to her Trust Fund and helping her reclaim her spirit and what fire is left burning inside of her. This man may have taken 18 years of her life, but he did not take her life entirely. He may have stolen her youth, but if we can help her reclaim her future, it would be the ultimate gift.
