Poems - Abuse II

Will He Ever Die?

haunting my dreams

A demon lurking

Snickering and smirking

Guiding me down the path

Of wickedess and wrath

I asked once

Ill beg and plead

Do this deed

Take this being

From the earth

A life not worth

The images I’m seeing

A bruise explained

Happiness feigned

Another moment gone

Was just another pawn

Your reality

Was a fallacy

A nightmare

You might care

but my kind is too rare

It’s a dangerous place

Feeling a sting on your face

The moment of triumph

Passes you by

Let out a sigh

Accept I’m weak

Rub my cheek

Dream of the day I will fly

Still don’t believe I can love

Still don’t think I can trust

Continue on this path I must

Carry on

Negativity gone

Sometimes you learn

That which you yearn

is something you earn

Poems - Abuse

What is it about my face

Is it dull or bland?

Why such an urge

To mark me with your hand?

What words did I utter,

What words did I say

That you were compelled

To make me pay?

My cheek it stings

The tear leaves a trail

I know I did not earn this

I know I did not fail

Why when you move

I glance and I flinch

Am I really,

Such a bitch?

What could I have done

To avoid the pain

To keep my pride

Instead of shame

I wish I could say

I wish you the best

But you deserve suffering

And nothing less

I hope I see you

Alone on your path

All ill remember is

Your eyes and their wrath

You hurt something precious

a heart open now lost

I thoroughly regret

Our pathes ever crossed

If I could

I would take you from this earth

away from my memories and

take back my worth

As long as I know

you are alive and well

Ill curse you and send you

right back to hell

I hope I find love

I hope you never do

but as long as I am breathing

I will make it through

Breaking the Rules

Do you ever realize how many rules we live by in life? Consider the following categories to name a few:

Fashion
Relationships
Etiquette
Boundaries
Censorship
Death

Dont wear white after Labor day
Wear that with this, not that
If you see him, you cant belong to me
If I dated her, you cant date her
If I am with you, I cant be with them
I should be married by 30
Its my duty to have kids
Elbows off the table
Dont say that word
Dont show that body part

and on and on and on.

What would life be like if we did not have so many rules? We all had a time in our lives when life was easy. We lived, we loved, we experienced, we dreamed and we discovered. What changed?

As children the world is still open to us. We have not been affected by discouragements, so-called realities, and limitations.

As children we love everyone. As we get older we are taught and programmed that we should love only one partner.

People live in different ways all over the earth. What makes us think our way is so special and correct?

Do people look to their parents and peers to decide how their path should go? Do they look to past traditions, rather than the future and how it changes? Why is it so hard to look outside the box, into a world of endless possibilities?

Do they look to religion for answers, and more rules?

Don't they create stories and fiction and myths to satisfy the reality they truly crave? They build monsters and weave epic adventures and sweet romance. They bury themselves in fake worlds operated by key strokes and levers. They meet at parks with foam weaponry and robes, immersed in a persona that would best resemble who they wish they could be.

They create little communities of alter-realities and double lives.

They create Subculture
